ANSM deploys IntakEasy®

ANSM joins forces with AB Cube again, reporting of COVID19 national vaccination program

Paris, France:

AB Cube rolls out IntakEasy®, their second project with ANSM. Shortly after the deployment of their flagship pharmacovigilance software, SafetyEasy® Suite, the Paris-based safety software company strikes again with their automatic intake tool. This technological evolution would expedite the safety reporting processes of the adverse events related to the vaccination program against SARS-CoV-2.

Safety reporting of French national vaccination program

As the national vaccination program speeds up, the adverse events of the vaccine reported by the public are also increasing. The French Adverse Health Event Reporting Portal is not only accessible by health professionals but also by the public. Until now, the raw data entered by the public had to be manually processed by the pharmacovigilance teams of regional pharmacovigilance centres (CRPV) across the country thereby losing time and increasing efforts per case processed.

IntakEasy®, the automatic case intake tool

To tackle this problem, AB Cube was able to rapidly roll out IntakEasy® conceived especially for ANSM. The deployment of this automatic case intake tool would link the national adverse health event reporting portal with the national pharmacovigilance database (ANPV).

This automation along with an artificial intelligence module to assess the severity of cases would make the case processing time 30 times faster than manual case processing.

A continuing collaboration between ANSM and AB Cube

Being the fifth largest provider of pharmacovigilance cases in the world, France is relying on the technological expertise, agility and 15 years of experience of AB Cube. After the deployment of SafetyEasy® Suite as the national pharmacovigilance database last month on April 6, this collaboration is going a step further with IntakEasy®.

This technological addition would equip ANSM to manage the surge of cases and adverse events associated with the ongoing COVID19 vaccination program in a more efficient manner, allowing the medical professionals to focus on serious adverse events.
