The unified safety software has been deployed in pharmacovigilance as well as addictovigilance safety operations of the French medical agency
Paris, France: Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM) deployed SafetyEasy® Suite as its new pharmacovigilance software last Tuesday.
Within a day, 1 million cases were migrated from the old database of the fifth largest provider of pharmacovigilance cases in the world to the new multivigilance management solution. This is a major move for the French medical agency as it shifts from on-premise software to the agility and adaptability of AB Cube’s cloud safety software.
France and Pharmacovigilance, a long standing relationship
France has been at the forefront of pharmacovigilance and ANSM has played an important role in the evolution of PV in France. The software move would equip the regional pharmacovigilance centres (CRPV) across the country to better manage the surge of cases and adverse events associated with the ongoing vaccination program against SARS-CoV-2.
It is worth noting here that SafetyEasy® Suite, being employed by the French agency, includes not just pharmacovigilance software but also the world’s first and the only addictovigilance module.
